As our client grows, they are now seeking a talented and experienced Web Developer to join them and enhance their talented team of skilled web designers and programmers, marketing strategists, copywriters and graphic designers who, together, deliver optimal solutions for their clients, giving each client the tools they need to get results.

Salary:

Generous salary, in the range $75k to $85k plus superannuation per annum will be negotiated with the successful applicant.

About the opportunity

The newly appointed web developer will be responsible for the coding, design and layout of our client’s company website, and their client websites, according to agreed specifications contained within each client’s SLA.

Key responsibilities include:

• To write efficient code
• Create websites using standard HTML/CSS practices.
• Work closely with web designers and programmers.
• Utilise effective techniques to optimise sites for SEO and work closely with the search team to achieve search department outcomes.
• Communicate with the marketing and design team to develop and deploy content.
• Support the IT Service Delivery Manager and Server Architects.
• Keep abreast of the latest developments with server-side frameworks such as python, ruby, php, Java, ASP, ASP.NET.
• Optimise websites for quick loading to improve user experience.
• Develop maintain and as necessary implement contingency plans for client website failures.
• Research relevant software solutions, maintain software documentation.
• Manage other developers as required.

About you – to be successfully considered:

• You possess a highly relevant bachelor’s degree or suitable equivalent experience which will substitute for such a qualification.
• Minimum 3 years’ highly relevant experience gained since you acquired your tertiary qualifications.
• You have deep expertise and hands on experience with Web Applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery and API's.
• Solid knowledge and experience in programming applications.
• Are a dedicated team player.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid abilities in both written and verbal communication.
• Solid working knowledge of programming language and technical terminology.
• Able to develop ideas and processes and clearly express them.
• High degree of independent judgment.
• Ability to solve complex problems.
